I’m Julie Renton and I have taught maths, applied maths and mechanical science and statistics for over 25 years. In that time I have helped hundreds of students to develop confidence in their own ability. I specialise in ensuring that the basics are well embedded before being able to move on in maths.
As the various syllabi change so frequently, I believe it is vitally important to focus on understanding the various mathematical rules and how they may be applied in a wide range of contexts.
For exam preparation I concentrate on developing the ability to read and interpret exam questions and to understand what is required. I also help students develop their exam technique.
Students and parents of younger children should be prepared to commit to at least 1 term of tutoring in order to see any appreciable benefit overall.
